The Concord Room contains books, files, media and photographs dealing with Concord's history. Material is available for use in the building only. If you would like to have an image scanned or digitized from the Concord Room, please fill out the request form.

A number of works dealing with the history of Concord have been digitized, and are available online.

Access

The Concord Room is available for use during normal library hours. If you would like to use the Concord Room, please read the Concord Room policies (PDF) and fill out a registration form at the Service Desk. You will be asked to leave a photo ID at the Desk. Adults 18 and up may use the Concord Room. Children between the ages of 13-17 may use the room as long as they are accompanied by an adult.

Time Capsule

Material from the 1965 Time Capsule has been placed in archival boxes, and is now part of the Concord Room collection. Two items (the wood fragment from the 1910 State House Dome and the marble fragment from the 1959 Boston & Maine Railroad waiting room) were placed in the 2065 Time Capsule which was reburied on November 7th, 2015. Documents from the Time Capsule were digitized.
