Notice of Non-Discrimination

The City of Concord does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, marital status, national/ethnic origin, age, sex, sexual orientation, transgender or disability in its programs, activities and employment practices. This statement is a reflection of the City of Concord and refers to, but is not limited to, the provisions of the following laws:

  • Titles IV, VI and VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 - race color, national origin
  • The Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967
  • The Age Discrimination Act of 1975
  • Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504) - disability
  • The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) - disability
  • NH Law against discrimination (RSA 354-A)

Complaint Procedure

Complaints must be received within 180 days from the date when the stated discrimination occurred. All complaints are reviewed by, and if required, investigated by the City. Upon receipt of the complaint, the filer will be informed that an investigation of the complaint will be conducted, and if appropriate what corrective action will be taken. Following the complaint investigation, the filer will be notified in writing of the results. An appeal of the decision may be made by notifying the office of the City Manager in writing within thirty (30) days of the decision by emailing it to citymanager@concordnh.gov or mailing it to City Manager’s Office, 41 Green Street, Concord, NH 03301.
