Leaf & Grass Collection Programs
Fall Leaf Collection

2015 Fall Leaf Collection
Fall Leaf Collection for the City of Concord is scheduled to begin November 2, 2015 and go through December 11, 2015 as weather permits. Highway and Utilities crews picked up a total of 2,529 tons of leaves during the 2014 season, compared to 1,516 tons in 2013! View our map to see all of the areas collected during the 2014 season. When Fall Leaf Collection begins for 2015, the map will be updated to show collected areas through the previous day.

In the fall, Concord residents can rake their leaves to the curb (un-bagged) for our Highway and Utilities crews to vacuum them up. Crews typically only have time to collect high priority areas once. Only leaves will be picked up and any miscellaneous items (including branches, rocks, and brush) will not be collected. Leaves are brought to several locations for composting after collection.

Drop-Off Leaves
Residents can bring their leaves to Gelinas Earth Materials Recycling Center, located near Fort Eddy Road, during their operation hours. They are available for Concord residents or commercial establishments to drop-off leaves and grass clippings. Brush, branches, and limbs can be dropped off separately for a nominal fee. Proof of residency is required. Loads must be 100% free of any unacceptable materials. Any unacceptable materials dumped will be retrieved by person(s) dumping. Gelinas Excavation reserves the right to reject any load. Illegal dumping will be subject to fines and penalties. Residents may be required to empty contents of bags when disposing of yard waste.
