Leaf & Grass Collection Programs
Fall Leaf Collection

Continuing Fall Leaf Collection
The recent winter weather conditions temporarily suspended Fall Leaf Collection efforts. The weather has kept Highway and Utilities crews busy with snow and debris removal for the last two weeks. Weather forecasts indicate this upcoming week to have milder conditions in which crews hope to resume Fall Leaf Collection. Starting on Monday, December 15th crews will resume collection in the areas that have not been collected. Two particular areas have a lot of on-street parking that could inhibit collection efforts. We ask residents in these areas to avoid on-street parking next week. The first area is bounded by Pleasant Street, South Spring Street, West Street, and South State Street. The second area is bounded by Washington Street, Auburn Street, Penacook Street, and North State Street. As long as the weather conditions continue to remain mild, crews will continue to pick up leaves. Follow us on Twitter for status updates!

In the fall, rake leaves un-bagged to the curb for our crews to vacuum them up. Crews will usually only be able to collect leaves once, so be ready by checking our map below to see where crews have already collected to determine where they are headed next. Please remember that only leaves will be picked up and any miscellaneous items (including branches, rocks, and brush) must be removed from leaves. Leaves are brought to several locations for composting after collection.

Drop-Off Leaves

The Gelinas Earth Materials Recycling Center, located near Fort Eddy Road, is available to City of Concord residents or commercial establishments to drop-off leaves and grass clippings. Brush, branches, and limbs can be dropped off separately for a nominal fee during their open season (Currently Closed). Proof of residency is required. Loads must be 100% free of any unacceptable materials. Any unacceptable materials dumped will be retrieved by person(s) dumping. Gelinas Excavation reserves the right to reject any load. Illegal dumping will be subject to fines and penalties. Residents may be required to empty contents of bags when disposing of yard waste.
