  1. Fall Leaf Collection

    November 14, 2019, All Day

Leaf collection starts Oct. 28th and will continue as weather permits through Dec. 6th. The south end crew will begin alternating their starting location each year, just like crews in the north and east sides do. Instead of starting at the Bow town line and working north, this crew will start at Blossom Hill Cemetery and work south. Our second crew will start on Elm St. (Penacook) and work south. Our third crew will start on Manchester St. and work north. Crews can only come by once. Have leaves ready, but prepare for weather. Bagged collection starts Nov. 18th and will continue for 3 weeks through Dec. 6th to provide a guaranteed weekly collection (not weather dependent). Leaves must be in biodegradable yard waste bags and/or labeled rigid containers and be at the curb by 7:00 a.m. each Monday. Leaves will be collected separately from trash. Submit a feedback form, watch an overview video, view maps, read FAQs, and find more information at www.concordnh.gov/leafcollection.

  2. America Recycles Day

    November 15, 2019, All Day

November 15th is America Recycles Day! Take the #BeRecycled pledge at AmericaRecyclesDay.org to pledge to recycle better. Concord residents that share their pledge on Facebook or Twitter by 5:00 p.m. on November 15th and tag Concord General Services @ConcordNHGS while using the #BeRecycled hashtag will be entered for a chance to win a bundle of pay-as-you-throw trash bags! The recycling industry is significantly changing due to global market conditions, and therefore has increased the demand for improved quality of materials in an effort to reduce contamination and sustain recycling efforts. The leading source of recycling contamination is plastic film, such as plastic bags. Together, we can ensure the sustainability of recycling by learning how to recycle better. Learn more about the City of Concord’s acceptable recycling materials and how you can recycle better at www.concordnh.gov/recycling.
